The finished forms: Shell, Mean & Master Form.

One of the most important aspect that we should really focus on right now before we can truly develop the Marikina as well as the Philippine Footwear & Leathergoods Industry is the theoretical & technical education on:

1. Scientific pattern making.

2. Systematic Processing & manufacturing of footwear &

leathergoods.

Which is why MASIDO has been stressing the importance of a scientifically based derivation of footwear patterns to replace the traditional “URONG-SULONG” manner of pattern making that we actually term as “TANYAMETER” because footwear construction, processing & manufacturing is more of an engineering process & less of art, but the craftsmanship should always be present throughout the process.

While the design aspect is really just the first step, once the designs have been given to the pattern maker, the engineering process begins till the pair of footwear is declared as finished goods.

These are the kind of training that MASIDO plans to have:

Since there is also a need to educate the manufacturers on the business aspect of their company’s management, we also plan to offer these trainings in collaboration with different government institutions such as DTI, DOST, BIR & DOLE as well as non-government companies such as MERALCO.

Product development is an important aspect of manufacturing in order for a company to remain relevant & competitive in the footwear & leathergoods market.

A company’s research & development department or R&D is the very heart of a footwear manufacturing company & a never-ending exercise.

Which is why we’ve also included the product development as one of the important aspects to focus for the trainings.

These are some of the trainings that MASIDO has conducted so far.

This is done to ensure that the sales associates has the capacity to answer the needs of the shoppers in the selling area & make them satisfied clients.
