In fulfillment of this vision, the office will consistently develop & administer strategies, oppurtunitites, programs & facilities centered to promoting the Marikina Shoe & Leathergoods Industry not only for economic advancement but also for its cultural & historical relevance.

4. MASIDO is now becoming the center for students’ research for studies

regarding the Marikina Footwear & Leathergoods Industry status.

A student from UA&P researching on possible policies that can be implemented to help develop the Marikina Footwear Industry.

5. Provision of guidance & mentorship to students who are:

- Doing their thesis regarding the Marikina Footwear Industry.

- Creating their footwear prototypes.

Students from the Quezon City Polytechnic College with their footwear prototypes.

6. Apprenticeship Program for students & entrepreneurs.

This program is still under development & will be available soon.

7. Coordination with different schools to create a Footwear Engineering

course in the Philippines.

The pilot class for the Footwear Technology for the grade 11 students of San Roque National High School.

8. Implementation of Impact Projects:

- Outreach to the “Silong-silong na gawaan”.

- BJMP x Rotary Club Marikina West x MASIDO

HOW TO BECOME A MEMBER OF MASIDO:

Your company must be officially registered in Marikina & has complied with the requirements set by the Marikina BPLO & Planning to enjoy the benefits of being a MASIDO member.


Membership is free, but submission of updated permits & documents should be submitted periodically.

- Your business license must be updated yearly.

- Your payments at the Marikina BPLO must be updated.

All requirements shall be submitted to the office of MASIDO & subject for approval.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BECOMING A MEMBER OF MASIDO?

- You can join the bi-annual bazaar activities hosted by the Marikina City Government, namely the Back to School Bazaar & the Sapatos Fest Bazaar.


- You will become part of the roster of manufacturers that we can match whenever there are clients looking for suppliers.


- You can attend free trainings conducted by the Marikina Shoe Industry Development Office.
